One of the least visited but strikingly beautiful places to take a safari is Botswana. A Botswana safari can give you an experience like no other, checking out African animals by boat and by foot.

Your visit to Chobe National Park will take you to a place with one of the highest concentrations of wildlife in Africa. It is Botswana's second largest national park, and it is known for it's large herds of elephants. You can even start off your stay by checking out beautiful Victoria Falls, if that is something you would like to experience as part of your Botswana safari. You will be able to explore the four different eco-systems that exist in the park. The lush plains and dense forests in Serondela, the Savuti marsh, the Linyanti Swamps, and the hot dry hinterland.

You may also want to visit the Moremi Wildlife Reserve on your Botswana safari. You will see crocodiles and hippos bathing, huge herds of impala, and wild dogs among many other African creatures. You may also run into some of the rarest animals you will ever find, the sitatunga and lechwe antelope, and will also notice a great number of different birds.

You can then take your Botswana safari from the reserve to the Okavango Delta, which is the largest inland delta in the entire world. Here you will find even more species of birds, along with vary large numbers of game. You can take game drives or even a canoe called a mokoro to get a look at any of the wildlife present on your safari.

In the western corner of Chobe National Park is another popular Botswana safari spot called Savuti. Here you can see such things as the bat-eared fox, hyenas, kudus, sables, tsessebe, and giraffes, among many other animals present in this part of Africa. Not only will the wildlife here be in abundance, but you will be astounded by the sight of the horizons, the peacefulness in the area, and even be able to check out some ancient rock paintings.

Although a Botswana safari may not have the popularity of other better known locations, it is really something that should not be taken for granted. The exclusivity it offers, as well as some of the rare sightings that can be experienced here, make a Botswana safari one that any person would be privileged to take part in.
